Cathodic Protection Anodes

Cathodic protection provides a cost savings benefit by fighting against steel's natural enemy — corrosion. Corrosion breaks down man-made steel structures, drastically shortening the life span of the structure.

De Nora's cathodic protection anodes fight corrosion. Our cathodic protection anodes are known as a "life-saving" technology. When used as part of a properly designed system of impressed current cathodic protection, De Nora's cathodic protection anodes can protect your structures — whether it's a gas pipeline, a steel tank or a re-enforced concrete deck — against corrosion.

Conventional Cathodic Protection Anodes
Conventional cathodic protection is used in steel structures such as water boxes, locks, above ground tanks, dams, underground pipelines and storage tanks.

Concrete Cathodic Protection Anodes
Concrete cathodic protection is used in steel re-enforced concrete structures such as bridge decks, parking garages and wharf and pier structures.

Offshore Retrolift Cathodic Protection Anodes
Offshore retrolift cathodic protection can extend the life of offshore structures, platforms and pipelines by 5 to 20 years. De Nora offers the cathodic protection system LIDA TSA for offshore structures. Designed and configured to provide superior protection, it's made of a mixed metal oxide (MMO) on titanium anode material.

Our cathodic protection anodes are useful for retrofitting cathodic protection systems specifically in offshore structure that have already exceeded their expected life span. These tension string anode structures are composed of multiple LIDA anodes and armored cables that are assembled together on a supporting tension rope and connected to a dead weight on the water floor from the platform.
